History of the Cossacks - Historie van de Kozakken
De kozakken stammen af van gevluchte Russische boeren en steppebewoners, die naar de grenzen van het rijk trokken om daar in vrijheid te leven en tevens die vrijheid te beschermen - The Cossacks are descendants of fled Russian farmers and tundra dwellers, who made their way to the empire's outer extremities to live in freedom and defend that same liberty.

The fall of Communism in Russia made possible the resurrection of the Don Cossacks' identity in their homeland along the Don River. In 1992, the Don Cossack Choir of Russia was re-established, under the direction of Dutchman Marcel Verhoeff, who has been their conductor since 1993.

Het 'Don KosakenChor Russland/ Marcel N. Verhoeff.' staat al weer 15 jaar onder leiding van de Nederlander Marcel 'Nikolajevitsj' Verhoeff. Sinds kort voert echter ook een Nederlandse stichting het beheer over het Russische koor.
Christmas in Russia: Russisch-orthodoxe Kerstvespers
De Russisch-orthodoxe Kerkmuziek kenmerkt zich door een scala aan uitdrukkingen en stijlen. Het varieert van eenstemmige of meerstemmige (recitatief) koorwerken tot aan de concertstukken, bijvoorbeeld van Tsjaikovski, Rachmaninov of Gretchaninov.
