Andrej
Kolesnikow (bass) was born in Mocow in 1961 as child of a cossack family. Early in his childhood he showed his
musical talent. He attended the music academy in the period 1982-1987; after that he sang in church and academic
choirs for a long time. Since 1996 he is a soloist for the Don KosakenChor Russland®. |

Nicolaj
Petrenko (bariton) was born in 1950 in Ekateringburg as son of a cossack family in exile. After the
rehabilitation of 1956, the family moved to the region of Stavropol. Here Nicolaj studied at the national institution
of theatre arts and graduated as both artist and director in the class of the famous Russian director Anisimow.
After finishing his study, Nicolaj sang on many opera stages. He is currently soloist for the Don KosakenChor
Russland®. |

Nicolaj
Guz (tenor) was born in 1959 in the city of Rostov on the Don. Nicolaj' grandfather served in the tsaristic army
and later, during the civil war, he faught in the white army. His vocal qualities were discovered in his early
youth. In the mid-80's he moved to Kiev where he performed, after his study at the Conservatory, as soloist for the
Kiev Opera Theatre. Currently Guz is a soloist for the Don KosakenChor Russland®. |

Wasilij
Tschitschin (tenor) was born in 1952 in the region Lipetzk. After attending the local musical school, he graduated
from the Music Academy in Moscow. After his graduation many engagements at theatres in and near Moscow followed.
Nowadays Wasilij is a soloist for the Don KosakenChor Russland®. |

Nicolaj
Z Barski (tenor) was born in the city of Rostov on the Don. After his graduation from the Moscow Conservatory in
1970, he started working as soloist at the Opera Theatre of Voronez. Zbarski is current a soloist for the Don
KosakenChor Russland®. |

Oleg Gromov
(tenor) was born in 1952 as child of a cossack family in Moscow. His family fled to Siberia and later to Moscow
because of the communist persecution of the cossacks. He is a graduate of the Moscow Conservatory and became
singer in the choir of the Moscow Philharmony. He has been a soloist of the Don KosakenChor Russland® since
1994. |

Borislav
Molchanov (tenor) was born in Novosibirsk in 1968. Since 2001 he has been a soloist for the Don KosakenChor
Russland®. |

Valery
Obouchov (bas) comes from an old cossack family. His grandfather has faught in the Tsar's army and later
fled because of the cossack's persecution, first to Siberia and later to White-Rissua, where they settled in a
small village near the city of Minsk. Valery first studied at the music school of Minsk and continued his study
at the Conservatory of Moscow. After his graduation he worked as soloist for several militairy ensembles, and
in the Opera Theatre of Moscow. He has been a soloist for the Don KosakenChor Russland® since 1995. |
